Donate through the Combined Federal Campaign
Federal employees can designate the Educate Fairfax as the recipient of funds through the Combined Federal Campaign. Use code #17182.
Donate Through Your IRA
If you are 70 1/2 or older, you must take a required minimum distribution (RMD) from your IRA account each year. Consider donating all or part of your RMD to the Educate Fairfax. You will reduce taxable income whether or not you itemize deductions. discuss with your financial advisor to see if this charitable giving plan would benefit you.
Leave a Bequest
Our Legacy Society recognizes all charitable bequests to Educate Fairfax. A charitable bequest is a distribution from your estate to a charitable organization through your last will and testament. There are several different kinds of bequests, each of which requires specific language and instructions to ensure your wishes are met. We recommend that you review your intent with an estate attorney to determine the appropriate type of bequest.
Donate Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds
Donations of appreciated securities may allow you to avoid tax liability while receiving a deduction for your charitable contribution. Upon receipt of your stock, Educate Fairfax will send an acknowledgement letter to you, documenting the date of the transfer and a description of the shares donated. Donate through your Virginia State Taxes
