Educate Fairfax is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit education foundation that builds partnerships and raises funds to support students, educators, and schools within FCPS.

Kids In Need Fund
Our schools benefit from a robust network of non-profits, businesses, faith-based groups and individuals who support these students in their local schools.
Why Kids in Need Fund?
Imagine a child walking into his neighborhood school with a fresh haircut, wearing new clothes and carrying a backpack filled with the proper school supplies. This is a child ready to learn and be successful in school.
For more than 60,000 FCPS students, the reality is much different. In the 2024 - 2025 school year, 1 in every 3 FCPS students (37%) receive free or reduced priced meals, an indicator that they, and their families, are living in need.

The Kids in Need fund also addresses food insecurity and assists our social workers and teachers in providing necessary items to students who need them.
School Supply Drive
Funds raised through this effort help purchase school supplies for students who may be experiencing economic hardship – including newcomer, foster care, homeless, military-connected, and recently displaced students.
A donation of just $11 provides these students with the essential tools they need to be successful.
Educate Fairfax Grants: Now Open!
Educate Fairfax Grants empower FCPS educators, faculty, and staff to provide students with equitable access to innovative learning experiences and opportunities in alignment with the FCPS Strategic Plan.
Since 2018, we have awarded 255 grants for a total of $409,000 which have directly affected more than 80,000 students.
The application is open now and closes October 18, 2024. We invite educators, faculty, and staff to apply today:
Innovators Fund
In 2022, Educate Fairfax Board Chair, Cindy Anderson, announced a new initiative, the Innovators Fund.
This fund was designed to enhance, support, and drive creativity and innovation at all levels in FCPS.
We assist businesses and individuals to make strategic investments in unique experiences for students to innovate, create, and explore within a classroom or school setting preparing students for college, career or the workforce.
Help us raise funds. Educate Fairfax will match the first $50,000 in donations to this fund!

FCPS convenes business and community leaders to hear an overview of the current state of our school system and the superintendent's vision in alignment with the strategic plan. Attendees are invited to partner with FCPSin achieving excellence, equity, and opportunity for each and every student.
